Job Summary As a Senior Engineer in the Traffic/Technology Team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure. Your passion for collaborative work and commitment to positively affecting communities will drive you to lead traffic planning, studies, design, and operations tasks and projects. You’ll have the unique opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the growth of our fast‑growing office.
We have one position open and will consider candidates located out of Plano or Fort Worth, TX office locations.
Responsibilities Lead traffic planning, studies, design, and operations tasks and projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative traffic management, signal systems, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) solutions.
Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and community impact standards.
Maintain and update traffic engineering documentation and deliverables.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Qualifications
Strong communication skills.
Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
10+ years of experience in traffic engineering, traffic operations, or ITS projects.
Professional Engineering (PE) license in Texas.
Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
Working knowledge of software including Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM or other similar software.
Experience with design projects and traffic studies.
Local industry knowledge and experience.
