Role and Responsibilities
Be part of a passionate and highly driven team of multi‑disciplinary engineers developing next‑generation Lucid battery and high‑voltage components.
Own and maintain state‑of‑the‑art thermoelectric models of high‑voltage components such as PCB boards, busbars, and power modules.
Perform advanced FEA and CFD simulations to evaluate and optimize thermoelectric and thermal‑structural design across different devices at the component and system level.
Work cross‑functionally between various technical teams to evaluate concepts for future designs.
Develop optimization methods for high‑voltage components and assemblies to maximize system efficiency while minimizing mass and cost.
Support design engineers in ensuring parts meet design requirements.
Perform post‑test reviews and correlate CAE predictions to test results.
Develop and apply advanced methodologies with smart analysis techniques to accelerate the development cycle.
Qualifications
Experience with ANSYS Icepak, ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Fluent, or equivalent for meshing, solving, and post‑processing.
Knowledge of multidisciplinary CAE and modeling of thermal, thermoelectric, and thermal‑structural phenomena.
Experience in electro‑thermal modeling of electronic components such as PCB boards, power modules, and busbars.
Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and mechanical/electrical engineering fundamentals.
Geometry cleanup skills in a CAD package (Catia or SpaceClaim preferred).
Excellent communication skills with people of varying technical ability in your field.
A strong desire to create the very best product as part of a capable team.
The capability to design experiments to validate analysis and ideas.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience with electronics packaging design and analysis.
Experience designing thermal management systems for electronics.
Experience in high‑voltage battery design and optimization.
Proficiency using FEA preprocessing tools – Hypermesh, ANSA, Simlab.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, COMSOL, and other simulation tools.
Experience in GTSuite, TaiTherm, StarCCM, Catia/3DExperience, Optimus, OptiSLang, or related engineering software.
Hands‑on experience with validation and experimental measurements, including design of experiments.
Experience with multi‑objective optimization and process automation software.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
More than 2 years of academic and applied experience in CFD, FEA, and multi‑physics CAE.
Compensation Base Pay Range (Annual): $113,800 - $156,530 USD.
