Law Enforcement Technical Account Manager
Location: Remote (Lorton, VA)
Join Bode Technology as a Law Enforcement Technical Account Manager and drive the adoption of our cutting‑edge DNA forensic solutions across law‑enforcement agencies.
Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Law Enforcement Technical Account Manager to join our innovative DNA laboratory. This position plays a critical role in expanding the laboratory’s outreach and client base within law‑enforcement agencies, providing advanced forensic solutions to help solve cases, identify unidentified human remains, and other complex criminal investigations. The ideal candidate will have a background in law‑enforcement sales with a deep understanding of FIGG and Rapid DNA technology, and the ability to engage with law‑enforcement professionals, build relationships, and drive new business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with law‑enforcement agencies, forensic scientists, detectives, and criminal investigators to increase awareness of our FIGG, Rapid Support Program, and other advanced DNA services.
Promote forensic investigative genetic genealogy and rapid DNA services to law‑enforcement, government agencies, and other stakeholders, positioning the laboratory as an industry leader.
Identify new business opportunities within the law‑enforcement and forensic science communities and convert prospective clients into long‑term customers.
Research, identify, and pursue potential funding opportunities, grants, and other financial resources to support forensic genetic genealogy and rapid DNA initiatives.
Build and nurture long‑term relationships with law‑enforcement officials, district attorneys, public defenders, and other stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries.
Represent the laboratory at conferences, workshops, training events, and seminars, providing presentations on the benefits of FIGG, rapid DNA technology, and advanced DNA services.
Meet and exceed sales quotas, manage a structured prospecting process, and expand revenue opportunities within new and existing accounts.
Utilize Salesforce to manage, track, and report sales activity, leads, and opportunities.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in law‑enforcement, business development, or sales, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in law‑enforcement or investigative services.
Expertise:
Familiarity with forensic genetic genealogy, cold‑case investigations, rapid DNA technology, and the evolving role of these services in criminal justice.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence law‑enforcement officials and stakeholders.
Proven track record of building client relationships and generating new business.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including high‑impact presentations and marketing materials.
Ability to identify funding opportunities from government sources, grants, and private foundations.
Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical proficiency in MS Office Suite and social media platforms; experience with grant management and funding platforms is a plus.
Experience working directly with law‑enforcement or in the criminal justice field.
