Position Summary: The Staff Accountant will play an integral role within the accounting and finance team, supporting month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and enjoys working across departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for month-end close. Perform account reconciliations, including bank, prepaid, and balance sheet accounts. Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed. Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries. Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors. Analyze variances and provide explanations to management. Support implementation of accounting process improvements and system enhancements. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-4 years of accounting experience (public accounting or technology industry experience a plus). Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems. Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines.
