Telematics domain validation:

We are seeking a Component Validation Engineer to join our Connected Services Validation team (CSX/CONN/CSV). In this role, you will plan, design, develop test cases, and execute component‑level validation activities for telematics systems, ensuring compliance with functional requirements, quality standards, and project timelines. You will collaborate closely with system engineers, software developers, and test automation validation engineers.

Key responsibilities

Perform component‑level validation of telematics ECUs.

Develop and maintain test strategy, plans, and validation specifications for telematics features.

Execute manual and automated test cases on HiL/SiL benches.

Validate connectivity features such as LTE/5G, GNSS, NFC, telematics apps, Wi‑Fi, V2X, eCall, OTA, etc.

Conduct defect analysis, root‑cause identification, and issue reporting in collaboration with development teams.

Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and validation results.

Support test automation development and contribute to continuous improvement of validation frameworks.

Participate in peer reviews of test cases, reports, and validation deliverables.

Provide test execution reports, KPIs, and validation status to stakeholders.

Work cross‑functionally with system validation, DevOps, and integration teams for end‑to‑end validation alignment.

Preferred Skills

Hands‑on experience in automotive ECU validation (especially telematics/infotainment).

Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDS/DOIP).

Experience with validation tools such as ECU‑Test, CANoe, DSpace, Vector tools, TeamCity, RQM, RTC, DNG, etc.

Proficiency with Linux commands.

Experience with MQTT, LWM2M protocols.

Understanding of telematics features (remote operations, stolen‑vehicle alerts, device management, drive alerts).

Test automation experience (Python or other scripting languages).

Familiarity with cellular network technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G), GNSS, and IP protocols.

Knowledge of security validation (TLS, certificates, authentication).

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive ECU validation, preferably in telematics, connectivity, or infotainment ECUs.

Hands‑on experience in manual and automated test execution.

Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols – CAN, Ethernet, DoIP, etc.

Knowledge of diagnostics and ECU flashing processes.

Experience in test case design, traceability to requirements, and defect reporting.

Ability to analyze log files, trace data, and identify root causes for failures.

Good teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.

Familiarity with defect and requirement management tools (JIRA, RTC, DOORS NextGen, etc.).

Basic logic development for test case creation covering negative scenarios, boundary conditions, and stress scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with telematics domains such as remote operations, x‑CALL, OTA, modem, GNSS, etc.

Exposure to DSpace HIL systems or simulation models.

Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., ECU Test, Python scripting).

Experience using Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL scripting, or DSpace tools like MBAX III.

Understanding of vehicle network architecture.

Strong problem‑solving ability.
