Job Responsibilities
Consulting Leadership: Provide specialized consulting services to power facilities, offering advanced guidance on process optimization, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and environmental sustainability.
Process Optimization Expertise: Conduct in-depth assessments and optimize power plant processes, innovating solutions and recommending improvements to improve efficiency, performance, and environmental sustainability.
Equipment & System Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of critical power equipment, including boilers, turbines, pumps, generators, and balance-of-plant systems.
Complex Troubleshooting: Offer expert‑level troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues, equipment breakdowns, and operational problems.
Safety and Compliance Assurance: Ensure power plant processes are fully compliant with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes.
Data Analysis & Performance Assessment: Analyze plant data, performance metrics, and trends to assess process efficiency and reliability.
Environmental Stewardship: Advise on strategies to minimize environmental impact, such as emissions reduction, waste management, and sustainability efforts.
Efficiency Enhancement Leadership: Identify and implement opportunities for improving overall power plant efficiency, heat rate optimization, fuel consumption reduction, and heat recovery.
Project Leadership: Lead process improvement projects from planning to execution, providing project management leadership, budget recommendations, and resource allocation strategies.
Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Stay updated on evolving regulations and ensure that the plant follows all necessary permits and requirements, including air quality and emissions standards.
Documentation & Reporting Mastery: Prepare advanced technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project progress to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field is typically required; Master's degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
Experience : 10 to 15 years of extensive experience in power plant operation and process engineering, focusing on thermal and mechanical systems.
Process Engineering Expertise : In-depth knowledge of power plant processes, including steam and gas turbine systems, boilers, generators, and balance‑of‑plant equipment.
