Lead Quality Inspector - Direct Hire

Job Description Job Description JSG is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Inspector / CMM - 1st shift to work at one of our premier Aerospace Clients in Simi Valley, CA. - Direct Hire Position Overview: We seek a detail-oriented and highly skilled Lead Quality Inspector to join our quality control team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and hands-on experience with precision inspection tools such as calipers, height gauges, dial indicators , and more. This individual will inspect and verify the quality of machined parts, metals, and components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards, particularly AS9100 . Qualifications & Skills: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A technical degree or certification in Quality Inspection or a related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector or in a similar role, particularly in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries. Skills: Strong knowledge and experience with GD&T and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Perform Dimensional Inspections: Inspect machined parts and components using various precision measurement tools, including calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and micrometers . Focus on verifying critical dimensions, surface finishes, and tolerances. CMM operation Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and the ability to document and interpret results. Familiarity with AS9100 standards and quality management systems. Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot deviations and maintain high-quality standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with teams. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
