Job Overview

ROLE OBJECTIVE

This position provides Project Management leadership & is responsible for end-to-end Product Development projects leading cross functional team with KPI's as Launch on Time, Budget, Cost & Quality. This role will be located within commutable distance of Middletown, PA or Austin, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall responsibility of managing 2-3 complex projects with successful project planning & execution to meet project charters and internal as well as customer requirements.

Leadership: Manage & Develop team of 3-6 project managers. Excellent cross functional leadership ability that leads project managers to high performance and Coaches and mentors other project managers. Create individual development plans for direct reports.

Team development: Develop knowledge sharing environment and provide ongoing feedback.

Envision the BU/ segment future & develop and implement PMO operational strategy.

Stakeholder management - Identifies and manages stakeholder expectations. Setting up cadence with stakeholders for smooth execution of projects.

Cost Control: Manage the Project Capital, Expense and Resource Expenditures to stay within budget and ensure that the financial metrics are met.

Effective project Risk management: create, monitor, and control risk management plans.

Economic Analysis: Support alternatives evaluation, variance analysis, cost calculations, etc.

Communications: Develop the Project Communication Plan, lead periodic Management Level Project Reviews, Report Project Progress, and Manage Stakeholder Expectations

Developing project schedules, resource requirements and budget forecasts. Tracking and reporting on project progress and product cost

Change Management: Perform integrated Change Management Control

Addressing and resolving issues/impediments in project.

Leading continuous improvement of existing processes and implementation of new project components.

Monitoring of internal resources with appropriate function, resolving operational issues, and ensuring project implementation on time, on cost, on quality.

What your background should look like

EDUCATION & CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

Graduate / master's in engineering with 15-18 years of experience

8+ years of Project Management experience in industrial product / Hardware domain

Distributed & multi-cultural team management experience.

COMPETENCIES (TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL)

MUST HAVE

In depth understanding of Toll Gate / Stage Gate process in Product development.

Experience in effective project management strategies and tactics

Experience in managing teams including performance management, rewards, and recognition.

Experience in staffing, performance management, mentoring and coaching.

Extensive experience in Stakeholder management, requirement management

Exposure to manufacturing processes (Moulding, stamping, plating)

Fluent in English with good verbal and written communications skills, ability to communicate Globally at all levels internally and externally.

Extensive experience in project planning, execution & effective risk management.

Extensive experience in Leading teams to success, collaborate across boundaries, track results, and develop Communication and responsibility matrix.

Proficient in Microsoft Project

Proficient with MS office tools (XL, Word, PowerPoint)

Proficient in project ROI analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback period)

Work along with CFT for problem solving and brainstorming.

Certified PMP or equivalent project management certifications

PREFERABLE

Exposure to regulatory approval process such as UL, CSA, CQC, VDE etc

Experience in Terminal and connector industry or products

Exposure to Agile Project Management

COMPENSATION

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $152,000 - 189,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
