Engineering Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician with a strong experience in small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) assembly and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of subsystems within sUAS, as well as experience with schematic, blueprint, and work instruction interpretation. A thorough working knowledge of part numbering and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures is essential. Responsibilities

Assemble and troubleshoot small components and subsystems within sUAS. Interpret and apply schematics, blueprints, and work instructions effectively. Utilize mechanical assembly and soldering skills for prototype and repair tasks. Assist with reviewing customer equipment and conducting critical inspections to determine field failures. Collaborate with team members on Root Cause and Correction Analysis (RCCA) and report component failures to the QA department. Manage time efficiently to support production and Return Material Authorization (RMA) schedules. Qualifications

Troubleshooting and mechanical assembly expertise. Experience with sub-assembly, repair, and engineering support. Proficiency in soldering, blueprint reading, and prototype development. Familiarity with oscilloscopes and mechanical work instructions. Strong understanding of subsystems and schematics. Associate Degree in a technical field preferred. Prior experience in a mechanically inclined role. Strong time management and critical inspection skills. Ability to recognize trends in failures and report to QA. Meticulous approach to applying consistent methods and processes. Familiarity with hand tools and soldering, though soldering will not be a regular duty. Work Environment

The work schedule is 1st shift with occasional overtime required, including some Saturdays. The company is a startup involved in research and development, partnering with military organizations for UAS capabilities and products. The work environment is dynamic and located in the Huntsville area, offering opportunities for growth and innovation. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
