MySQL, PostgreSQL Database Administrator

• L1, L2 proficiency in MySQL 5.7, 8.0, and MariaDB • Strong experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing • Database administration, backup, and recovery (Percona Xtrabackup, MySQL Enterprise Backup, mysqldump, binlog-based recovery) • High Availability & Disaster Recovery (Replication, Clustering, Galera Cluster, MySQL Group Replication, ProxySQL) • Strong understanding of MySQL security (User Privileges, TDE, Data Masking, GDPR, HIPAA compliance) • Experience in automating database administration using Bash, Python, or Ansible • Cloud database experience (AWS RDS for MySQL, Aurora, Azure Database for MySQL, Google Cloud SQL) • Expertise in database monitoring and logging tools (Percona Monitoring and Management, MySQL Enterprise Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana) • Deep understanding of MySQL storage engines (InnoDB, MyISAM, TokuDB, RocksDB) • Knowledge of MySQL licensing models and cost optimization strategies
