Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Analyze financial data to assist in budget, forecasting, and variance reporting, providing insights to support business strategies and decisions.

Recording financial transactions and ensuring all entries are accurate.

Assist preparing for annual audits and tax return preparation.

Accounting, investment reconciliation, and financial reporting for The Moody Endowment.

Support documentation and processing of grants approved by The Moody Endowment.

Grant activity reporting and reconciliation.

Serve as subject matter expert for accounting team members.

Other duties as needed by the CFO.

Qualifications Required Knowledge and Skills

Understanding and application of GAAP theory and practices.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.

Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met on a consistent basis.

Ability to operate basic office equipment.

Experience working with Sage Intacct accounting software.

Experience with investment accounting and fund reconciliations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, required.

Master’s degree in accounting, preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, required.

Minimum of 7 years accounting experience preferred.
