Electronics Technician
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our team in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities of the Electronics Technician include: Understand and apply the project Safety Plan (JHA, AHA, PFW) Contribute to quality reviews of design documents by analyzing drawing packages for constructability. Monitor project metrics and actively participate in weekly resource allocation meetings. Review and verify timesheet charges for accuracy across assigned projects. Perform installation and maintenance tasks within scheduled timeframes, ensuring thorough documentation is completed. Manage tool inventory, conduct inspections, and oversee material ordering and receiving processes. Lead daily ORM meetings, enforce team compliance with safety protocols, and complete accident/incident reports as required. Assist in the development and execution of PITCO plans to support high-quality testing and installation. Install system raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels in accordance with industry standards. Terminate, tests, and configures electronic devices, network hardware, and IT equipment. Oversee base switch configurations, supports server and workstation setup, and troubleshoots programmable components. Ensure alignment with QC plans and checklists by conducting inspections and documenting quality findings. Install and maintains field devices, terminates and tests system components, and resolves issues with copper and fiber optic systems. Demonstrate leadership by mentoring crew members, offering constructive feedback, and promoting strategic thinking and innovation. Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills in alignment with M.C. Dean's mission and values. Provide forward-looking plans for manpower assignments, material staging, and resource allocation. Qualifications for the Electronics Technician include: Completion of one of the following: Military electronics training (minimum 720 classroom hours) Accredited electronics technician program Electrical apprenticeship program HS Diploma 6+ years working on electronics systems across various customer programs Strong communication and presentation skills Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams Effective time management and organizational skills Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (preferred) Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (may require use of company vehicle) Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Hirsch Velocity, Bosch, AIphone, FFT, DIVAR) Experience with Windows OS and related certifications 3 years focused on electronic security systems OSHA 30 certification CompTIA Security+ certification Must have an Active Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph. Compensation for the Electronics Technician includes: Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 depending on experience Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
