$68,640 Annually About Us Safe Place for Youth (SPY) is the leading service provider for youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness in West Los Angeles. Founded in 2011, our agency offers trauma-informed, low barrier programs that support young people in exiting the streets and achieving stability so that they can thrive, not just survive. Our robust continuum of care includes street outreach, drop-in services, health and wellness programming, case management, education and employment services, and housing programs. About The Role

The Education and Employment Program Supervisor is responsible for supervision of SPY Squad and leadership of E&E staff, programming and youth interns. The Supervisor will plan and coordinate workshops and recruiting events across multiple sites. The Supervisor will also work closely with the Director of Access Center and Engagement to ensure a broad range of educational and employment opportunities exist for youth members of SPY. What Youll Do

Grow and develop the Education & Employment program to support a comprehensive array of services based on youth need Assure Education & Employment services are offered in all SPY locations Cultivate and maintain external partnerships within the business community and beyond Identify and implement current best practices in youth Education & Employment; act as agency expert in workforce development and career mentorship Manage Spy Squad budget, youth payment, and contracts Oversee data collection through Civicore and HMIS across Education & Employment and SPY Squad Provide trauma and resiliency informed leadership and weekly supervision for staff members Ensure that all Education & Employment services are delivered in a strengths-based, trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach Coordinate and support youth internships onsite and offsite at community partner sites; supervise and/or facilitate groups and other activities Work collaboratively across internal departments and with community partners Develop and structure education and life skill programming specific to job readiness and preparation Market, develop, outreach and cultivate job and/or internship partnership opportunities Oversee data collection across Education & Employment program Participate in staff meetings and trainings, team meetings and other community meetings, as needed Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the mission of the program and organization What Youll Need

Bachelors degree in related field preferred 2-3 years of experience in an education or employment services environment is required 2+ years experience in social service setting, experience with youth is preferred 1+ years experience in a supervisory role is required Working knowledge of trauma-informed and harm-reduction service models Strong computer skills and knowledge including word processing, database operation, spreadsheets and other software systems Ability to coordinate and/or oversee the successful completion of projects Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including organizational, detail, and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to work and develop relationships with individuals of diverse races, ethnicities, and sexual orientation in a multicultural environment Must have reliable transportation, valid California drivers license and proof of current insurance Cultural humility Work Environment And Physical Requirements
