Arcadis is looking for a

Senior Water Design Manager

to join our Resilience Water Team in South Florida. The role requires 10+ years of experience in planning, design, or construction of municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, including treatment plants and pump stations. This is an exciting opportunity to support a leading municipal consulting firm and manage technical delivery of large infrastructure projects across Florida.

Role Accountabilities

Lead design or design management of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, including treatment plants, pump stations, intakes, gates, and hydraulic structures.

Develop layout plans, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and contract drawings and specifications.

Exercise engineering judgement to solve complex infrastructure challenges.

Coordinate with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams from schematic design to construction.

Serve as a technical resource for the region, provide mentoring to junior engineers, and support quality assurance and control reviews.

Establish client relationships, support pump station marketing, and participate in pursuit efforts.

Perform scoping, budgeting, and cost estimation for water infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of pump station design experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Florida PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Key Skills and Attributes

Excellent technical engineering in design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Experience managing preparation, review, and approval of project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.

Client relationship skills, including proposal development and client management.

Functional experience with MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

15+ years of experience.

Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or an MBA.

Experience with large and complex water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.

Experience with diesel‑driven pumping systems and familiarity with Pump Station Design Standards (Hydraulic Institute, USACE).

Experience with key clients in South Florida.

Salary Range:

$95,000–$180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
