The Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) organization is currently seeking a high performing versatile Mid-level Software Developer to join the team in El Segundo, CA to support Evolved Strategic SATCOM, a new franchise satellite program as we build out a full new satellite constellation over the next 10 years.

The IT Product Support Government contract direct team provides comprehensive software solutions to rapidly access and visually transform complex engineering and manufacturing product data supporting the BDS Contract Direct Product Support organization.

Opportunities include development and integration for a variety of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and in-house software application(s) supporting our engineering and manufacturing teams. Working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results, this position requires a positive attitude, self-motivation, the ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Position Responsibilities:

• Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate end-user requirements, ensuring solutions align with organizational goals

• Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design and analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements.

• Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality, performance, and user experience.

• Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems.

• Reviews system performance and identifies and recommends improvements.

• Address IT Compliance items by performing application scans for security requirements.

• Partner with senior team member on application server setup when needed.

• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve development practices and solutions.

• Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and release notes.

• Support integration efforts involving Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom-in-house software applications.

Required Skills:

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance

• 5+ Years of software development experience with application integration and system architecture, utilizing standard IT lifecycle methodologies and tools.

• 5+ Years of software development in .Net technologies and web service technologies and client-side technologies

• 3+ Years of Microsoft SharePoint development including designer and workflow customizations

• 3+ Years writing database queries in SQL server or Oracle.

Preferred Skills:

• Current Security+ certification or ability to obtain post-start

• 5+ years' experience with Microsoft SharePoint development and administration

• 3+ years' experience with ColdFusion Development

• 3+ years of experience with web services and client-side technologies

• 3+ years of experience with UI frameworks such as jQuery, Angular, or ReactJS

• 3+ years of experience with HTML and CSS

• 3+ years of experience working in Agile development environments

• 3+ years of experience with configuration management

• 3+ years of experience in software requirements gathering and documentation

• 3+ years of experience using Git workflow
