About the Position:

The Budget & Grants Senior Manager is responsible for leading the organization's budgeting process, managing grant financial administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights. This role combines advanced budgeting and forecasting expertise with grant management, audit support, and leadership responsibilities to strengthen financial operations and support organizational goals. The Senior Manager will report to the Managing Director of Finance, partner closely with the CFO and supervise the Budget and Grants Associate.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and management of annual operating budgets and forecasts. Oversee grant financial administration, including compliance with grant agreements and reporting requirements. Review all new grant agreements and flag necessary issues for senior management prior to contract execution. Train new project managers on grant accounting practices and compliance matters. Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. Manage audit processes and support NICRA preparation. Mentor and supervise the Budget Associate fostering professional growth and collaboration. Enhance financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy. Perform routine financial analysis as requested by the CFO or Managing Director. Business owner for NACo Financial Planning and Analysis system. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 7 years of experience in budgeting and grant financial management Experience demonstrating a strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and compliance requirements. Proven proficiency with financial systems, OLAP data cubes and advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with Intacct and Prophix is highly desirable. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Attributes:

Salary Range:

Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience and resource availability
