Day Shift | 6:45 AM - 5:30 PM CST (as needed) Job Summary: The
Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative III - Floater (PSR III)
serves as the
face of the organization
to patients across multiple clinic and patient service center locations. This role involves skillful blood collection, specimen preparation, and professional patient interaction while maintaining a safe and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong
leadership behaviors ,
process excellence , and
attention to confidentiality
and accuracy in patient data.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
phlebotomy and specimen collection
according to established clinical procedures. Maintain professionalism and create a
positive, trust-based experience
for patients. Travel between assigned locations, including
AKGD, AKEG, AKEU, and AKES , as business needs dictate. Verify patient identity, ensure accurate labeling, and complete all necessary documentation. Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. Identify and communicate issues related to process or equipment in a timely manner. Promote
team collaboration and service excellence
across multiple locations. Required Experience:
3 years of phlebotomy experience
including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum
2 years in a patient service center
or similar environment preferred. Previous customer service experience in retail, healthcare, or laboratory settings. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience floating across multiple patient service centers. Knowledge of
Quest Diagnostics
workflows or similar environments. Experience in both clinical and forensic specimen handling. Required Skills:
Excellent
phlebotomy and specimen handling
skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and
customer service focus . Ability to multitask in fast-paced, high-volume settings. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required. Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with
HIPAA ,
OSHA , and infection control standards. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities. Leadership and mentoring experience within clinical teams. Additional Skills:
Demonstrates accountability, safety awareness, and reliability. Operates independently with minimal supervision. Supports cross-site operations with professionalism and efficiency. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA). Benefits:
