Position Summary The Director of Planning is responsible for leading the financial, inventory and retail planning functions for multiple brands within the Lifestyle Group. Working closely with Sales, the director will own monthly financial forecasts, budgets by account, margin planning, and inventory forecasts (pre‑season and in‑season). The role partners with Sales to react to retail sales results, uses data for informed business decisions, and collaborates with Production, Finance, Operations and other planning partners to align and achieve business goals. The ideal candidate has experience in financial planning, retail/merchandise planning, and inventory management and will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the Lifestyle planning team.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

Develop and execute financial budgets and forecasts for the division in collaboration with Sales.

Manage margin by category and account for new brands, maximizing margin growth opportunities.

Update regular and ad‑hoc reporting and analysis to senior management or corporate.

Retail Planning

Monitor retail selling results and partner with Sales on strategies to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risk.

Ensure Retail Planning is aligned with Demand Planning and uses forecasts in retail projections.

Execute cohesive, streamlined reporting and processes across the Lifestyle platform.

Prepare market presentations and forecasts, including OTB/zero‑out forecasts.

Lead annual and seasonal planning processes: assortment planning, inventory allocation, and sales forecasting.

Use data analytics and market insights to inform decision‑making and drive continuous improvement.

Inventory Planning

Build and maintain inventory OTB flows by category and season based on the forecast.

Manage inbound and outbound unit flow by location.

Identify and mitigate risks related to open‑to‑buy and inventory excess.

Develop sell‑off strategy with Sales, reflecting it in monthly estimates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or fashion‑related field.

8–12 years of experience in retail or financial planning.

Strong analytical, financial, and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of SAP and Tillerman (a plus).
