Join Our Team as an Apprentice Truck Driver! This exciting role focuses on transporting residual products from our mills to customer locations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct all necessary DOT-required pre-inspection and post-inspection of the truck daily. Operate the truck safely, complying with DOT, state, and local regulations along with company policies. Maintain accurate electronic tracking of deliveries. Adhere to all safety protocols at all times. Demonstrate experience driving in challenging conditions, including gravel, snow, and mud. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge. Utilize prescribed safety equipment to perform your job safely. Report any unsafe practices or hazards to your supervisor or safety personnel. Work independently and take initiative while completing tasks. Complete other duties as assigned to support the team. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Recent graduation from an accredited CDL training program. Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and guidelines. Ability to pass a drug test, physical examination, and background check. Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for shifts, reach with hands and arms, and perform various physical activities such as stooping, squatting, and walking long distances. Regular use of hands for clerical tasks; must have correctable vision and depth perception. Praise for awareness of surroundings through hearing is beneficial.
