Description Assess clients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using both standard assessments and observation techniques. Create tailored treatment plans that encompass immediate objectives, as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions addressing parameters such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caretakers, and families to establish cohesive care plans. Educate patients and their families to encourage progress outside of clinical settings. Provide support with intermittent inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments to ensure seamless care along the healing journey. Maintain detailed and timely records in accordance with state and federal regulations as well as organizational protocols. Stay abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State license as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within a month of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for various age groups, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions. Strong interpersonal communication skills with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary care teams. Ability to modify therapeutic approaches to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Well-developed clinical reasoning and problem-solving aptitude. Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and documentation practices. Benefits
