Brand Strategist
Contractor Role (Mid to Senior Level)
As a Brand Strategist, you will report to the Head of Games Marketing. You will craft strategic frameworks that define how our Kids Games portfolio connects with young players and their families. Your deep understanding of the kids entertainment landscape will guide positioning, messaging, and brand development that resonates with our unique audience while honoring what makes each game special. You'll partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Studio teams to ensure our Kids Games brand strategy is both distinctive and authentic.
Responsibilities:
Develop brand positioning and messaging frameworks specifically for our Kids Games titles that speak to both young players and their parents/guardians Conduct competitive landscape analysis within kids gaming, entertainment, and adjacent categories to identify white space opportunities Translate player and family insights into actionable brand strategies that inform creative direction, product positioning, and go-to-market approaches Partner with Creative Directors, Product teams, and Studio partners to ensure brand strategy informs and elevates all player touchpoints Create strategic briefs that inspire creative teams while maintaining focus on what matters most to kids and families Define and articulate the unique value propositions for individual titles and the broader Kids Games portfolio Collaborate with Consumer Insights and Research teams to validate strategic hypotheses and refine approaches based on learnings Help establish brand guardrails and guidelines specific to the kids audience that respect developmental stages, play patterns, and family dynamics Present strategic recommendations to cross-functional partners and senior leadership with clarity and conviction Required Qualifications:
6+ years of brand strategy experience in kids-focused industries (toys, games, television, film, or consumer products) Proven track record developing brand strategies that successfully reached kids audiences (ages 2-12) and their families Deep understanding of kids development stages, play patterns, and how children engage with entertainment and gaming Portfolio or case studies demonstrating strategic thinking that led to measurable brand or business impact Experience translating consumer insights and research into compelling strategic frameworks Strong collaborator who can build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and navigate complexity with diplomacy Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas simply and persuasively Knowledge of the gaming landscape, particularly mobile and casual gaming
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated equivalent Experience working within a streaming, gaming, or entertainment platform environment Familiarity with franchise development and IP-based brand building Understanding of international kids markets and cultural nuances in kids entertainment Experience with both launching new brands and evolving existing IP
