A financial services firm in New York City is actively seeking a new Employee Relations Consultant to join its Human Resources team on a contract basis.

Monday to Friday Hours:

8:30am to 5:30pm (40 hour weeks) Setting:

Hybrid (At least 3 days a week onsite) Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace issues Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, complaints, and workplace conflicts Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Collaborate with HR and legal teams to address and resolve complex employee relations issues Maintain accurate and detailed records of all employee relations cases and investigations Assist in developing and conducting training sessions for employees and managers on topics related to employee relations, such as anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies Stay up-to-date with current employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance Qualifications:

At least 6 years of experience in Employee Relations, including investigating complaints of discrimination and harassment Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, and/or a related field Strong knowledge of Employment laws and regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desired Skills:

Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) Experience in a consulting role or working with multiple clients
