Description

Seeking temporary mechanical technician staffing to fill an Engineering Technician I position in support of the High Luminosity LHC Accelerator Upgrade Project for an estimated period of one (1) year. The technician must have the ability to lift 40 pounds, perform repetitive lifting of moderate weight, ability to climb stairs and ladders and stand for up to 4 hours per day and be able to work with epoxies, solvents, glues and other chemicals. The technician must have the ability and willingness to work occasional overtime on short notice in response to operation and emergency requirements. The technician will be working under the direction of engineers, scientists, and senior technicians doing work of varying degrees of precision (some high precision). Requirements :

Experience in assembly/disassembly work and experience with hand tools. Ability to read drawings, follow written assembly procedures (including data-entry of completed tasks of those procedures), use a PC with MS Word & Excel A minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Grinding, cutting, soldering and lifting of up to 40lbs may be required.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
