Property Accountant

to join our dynamic accounting team.

The Property Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties. This includes financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and close collaboration with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

Responsibilities:

A/R & A/P Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements for assigned properties Manage full general ledger activity, including journal entries, accruals and mortgage payments Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet analysis Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide explanations to management Assist with CAM's (common area maintenance), property tax, and insurance reconciliations Ensure accurate accounts payable and receivable coding and processing Support annual audits and provide requested financial documentation Collaborate with property managers to align financial reporting with operations Assist with cash flow projections and monitor cash activity Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of property accounting experience, preferably with commercial properties Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting practices Proficiency in Yardi (preferred), Entrata, or similar systems Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Industry
