Join our dynamic Human Resources team at United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) for an exciting and hands-on summer internship program. This program is designed for students pursuing a career in Human Resources, offering valuable experience and insight into the industry.

Teams : Talent Acquisition, Payroll & People Analytics, Team Relations, Benefits & Wellness, Engagement, Leadership Development, and Corporate Training.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING TALENT ACQUISITION

This team is a dedicated group of professionals committed to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to ensure the company's continued success and industry leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Conducting phone screens each day and work closely with Recruiters to assess applicants

Partnering with Recruiters to assist in full-cycle recruiting, consisting of in-person interviews, tours, etc.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other HR databases

Collaborating with team members on special projects aimed at improving talent acquisition and retention strategies

PAYROLL & PEOPLE ANALYTICS

This team ensures accurate and timely payroll processing while leveraging data-driven insights to enhance workforce management and strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Auditing team member information that is stored in the HRIS platform, UltiPro

Gathering, maintaining, and reporting metrics

Tracking survey data with appropriate follow up to ensure client satisfaction with our service

Responsible for delegating AskTMS questions to the team, while communicating solutions with team members on questions they have with company policy

TEAM RELATIONS

This team is dedicated to promoting a positive workplace culture, enhancing employee engagement, and advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Providing support to Team Relations Specialists and Coordinators on a daily basis

Assisting in the development and implementation of DEI initatives, programs, and training.

Supporting the creation of an inclusive work enviornment by promoting UWM's values.

Monitoring and reporting metrics to identify trends and areas if improvement.

BENEFITS & WELLNESS

This team is dedicated to supporting the overall health and well-being of our team members through comprehensive programs and resources. The team is split into two: the Benefits team supports the administrative processes, whereas the Wellness team supports physical and health initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Administrative Benefit processes

Learning all aspects of the benefits, including Leaves, 401k, Compliance

Participating in all our Wellness Initiatives

Running Sports leagues, coming up with new ideas

ENGAGEMENT

This team fosters a vibrant and inclusive company culture by organizing activities and initiatives that promote employee connection and satisfaction.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Coordinating and managing activities such as team-building events, employee recognition programs, and social gatherings

Maintaining a calendar of events and ensure timely execution of all planned activities

Developing and implementing engagement programs and events that align with UWM’s culture and values

Creating and distributing communication materials to promote engagement activities and encourage participation

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Graduating with a

bachelor’s

degree

in

2026 or 2027

(current junior/senior status)

The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week,

fully

on-site in Pontiac, MI

from

May 18th - August 7th
