INTERVIEW: During onsite interview - candidates MUST WEAR STEEL TOE SHOES AND BRING THEIR WELD HELMET, there will be a short weld test as part of the interview.
Job Description:
Perform complex welding operations, including Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW or TIG) and potentially Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG), on aerospace materials like nitronics, stainless steel, and aluminum. Read and interpret complex blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications to meet product requirements and tight tolerance levels. Plan and perform a variety of welding operations, setting up and operating specialized equipment according to technical documents. Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet high-quality standards and repair rejected welds based on inspection reports and X-ray analysis. Adhere strictly to all company safety, ethics, and environmental regulations, including proper management of a clean work area. May assist with training and supporting entry-level welders (Welder I). Evaluate issues, develop solutions, and report failures to a lead or supervisor. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other safety-related activities.
Skills and qualifications:
Advanced welding skills, with significant prior experience. Certifications relevant to aerospace welding (such as NADCAP-certified experience). Experience with different welding equipment and materials used in aerospace manufacturing. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Citizenship:
US Citizens only.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Overtime:
Some OT expected, but not frequent.
