Senior Maintenance Technician
Location: Central Orange County, CA Schedule: Morning shift, Full-time Compensation: $45 - $60 per hour + benefits (Direct Hire)
About the Opportunity
An established aerospace manufacturer specializing in precision large-scale assemblies and lightweight fuel tanks is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician. This is a direct hire role offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to support critical manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, CNC troubleshooting, and PLC control systems. This is a hands-on position requiring extensive diagnostic and repair experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and Allen-Bradley controllers, down to the board and component level.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and PLC-controlled automated systems. Diagnose and resolve faults in Siemens, Fanuc, and Allen-Bradley controllers. Perform board-level diagnostics using electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.). Interpret electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams. Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime. Document repairs and modifications in CMMS systems. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams. Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Train employees on maintenance practices and recommend improved procedures. Adhere to OSHA and EHS safety policies and procedures. Qualifications
Technical diploma or associate's degree in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and Allen-Bradley systems (certifications preferred). Proven ability to analyze, rebuild, and repair CNC and NC machinery. Familiarity with Mori Seiki, Makino, Cincinnati Milacron, OKK, SNK, or Kuraki machines (a plus). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS data entry. Ability to work overtime when required. Physical Requirements
Ability to stand 6-8 hours per day and perform hands-on maintenance. Regular walking, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequent lifting/moving up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Good vision (close, color, depth perception, focus). Ability to wear a respirator as required. Benefits
