GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
The purpose of this job is to provide installation and maintenance for the wastewater plant facilities. This position works under close supervision according to set procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS
Maintain and repair mechanical systems in sewage pump stations and maintaining right of ways at the Wellfield. Assists in pulling pumps and floats, changing impellers, motors and valves as assigned. Changes oil in pumps, repacks drive seals and pumps as assigned. Trouble shoots electrical, electronic problems with pump station controls and makes repairs as assigned. Performs daily, weekly and monthly sewage pump station checks as assigned. Performs daily operational checks and complete logs to ensure proper operation of pump stations and equipment as assigned. Directs traffic and spot for the safety of co-workers. Cut grass on wellfield right of ways and pump stations as assigned. Repairs pump station buildings and maintenance complex buildings as assigned. Responds to emergency calls after hours and on weekends. Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent and six (6) months of experience providing manual labor, minor repairs, operating light or heavy equipment or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
