Waste Pro USA Summary of Position The Maintenance Manager plans, organizes, and supervises the Division's maintenance staff and functions. This management position is responsible for overall fleet/equipment support and related maintenance processes, including inspection, repair, pre/post servicing, vehicle distribution, quality assurance, and disposal at the Division level. The manager will collaborate with the Regional Maintenance Manager and Operations teams to ensure fleet condition, equipment reliability, safety, and cost-effective performance. Responsibilities Manage hiring, training, coaching, performance management, discipline, scheduling, and overtime for the department. Maintain a preventive and corrective maintenance program to ensure service excellence. Review reports on road calls, breakdowns, parts inventory, repairs, and safety performance. Provide hands-on maintenance assistance as needed. Educate drivers on DVIRs, fleet operation, and CDL requirements. Ensure maintenance data is accurately entered into the vehicle maintenance system. Monitor inventory control, performance goals, and reporting metrics. Assist in purchasing vehicles, equipment, tools, and containers. Conduct maintenance training sessions to improve fleet condition and operational knowledge. Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including EPA, DOT, OSHA, and others, coordinating with safety teams. Oversee vehicle utilization, maintenance quality, and transportation readiness. Report on fleet condition and manage budgets. Implement and monitor all maintenance activities, including safety checks, warranty recovery, tire standards, and major repairs. Coordinate equipment movement and inspections between divisions. Evaluate body damage and manage costs and vendor relations. Analyze service issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions. Support the development of metrics and diagnostic tools for fleet performance monitoring. Work Environment Use motor coordination for tasks like keyboarding, driving, and reaching. Occasional physical effort required for lifting objects up to 20 pounds, stooping, and pushing. Exposure to occupational risks such as machinery, heavy equipment, and environmental elements like noise and weather. Work in office, field, and maintenance facility settings. Seniority level
