Job Overview: Supports a concept that allows for appropriate levels of materials and stock supplies to be kept. Supports Material Handling on the shop floor. Reduces processing time and manpower requirements by stabilizing and optimizing the process of receiving goods, storing and delivering. Responsibilities: Analyzes and supports logistics plans that affect production, warehousing, and inventory Analyzes impacts to changes in market packaging or logistics processes and assesses their viability Analyzes issues and implements solutions Monitors the flow of materials and products from suppliers throughout the organization Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings Prepares presentations for management explaining problems and timing associated with each topic Proposes and implements logistics standards, methods, and processes Reviews procedures for material handling and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs Will perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering or other related fields of study or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years of relevant professional experience within a manufacturing setting. Able to perform the essential functions of the job. Extensive Knowledge / experience in planning and implementing internal logistics operations. Highly motivated self-starter: Team oriented; outstanding planning and proactive skills. Knowledge of the German and / or Spanish Language is a plus.
