Growing Insurance & Financial Services Provider has a new opportunity for a
Quality Analyst Manager
to join their team in Birmingham, Michigan!
Location:
In-office, Hybrid or Remote with travel depending upon the candidate's location!
The QA Manager position is an evolving new role within our organization. This role supports the Company’s auto insurance programs by ensuring pricing accuracy, regulatory compliance, and implementing industry best practices around our data. This position bridges the gap between finance, operations, underwriting, and regulatory teams — developing manual raters, validating system outputs, and may play a role in benchmarking company pricing against competitors to maintain a strong market position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain manual raters to validate pricing accuracy across multiple auto insurance programs managed by the MGA. Update the rate tables in advance of rate changes, perform testing in advance of rate changes.
Implement and maintain testing processes documentation, such as work instructions and desk procedures.
Conduct or oversee daily system and form testing to verify rate accuracy, policy output, beta testing and overall program integrity.
Test and analyze and oversee policy system functionality for both new and existing programs to ensure consistency and accuracy in production environments. Identify process improvements to enhance rating accuracy, efficiency, and system automation within the product lifecycle.
Assist Product team in competitor benchmarking and trend analysis to support product positioning, pricing strategies, and profitability goals.
Compare premium levels to competitors using available market data and internal benchmarking tools to assess rate competitiveness and identify areas for adjustment.
Special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in auto insurance rating, product analysis, or pricing required!
Experience with test cases, test plans and strategies, as well as, implementation of automated testing of several different programs is strongly .
Strong understanding of auto insurance products, rating structures, and regulatory compliance.
Experience with rating engines, insurance administration systems, and competitive benchmarking tools .
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
High proficiency in Excel; experience with auto insurance software or similar tools is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
