Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater

Overview:

Garver seeks an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to manage water and wastewater projects through all phases of delivery. The role includes developing and leading diverse projects, building client relationships, participating in industry activities, and mentoring within the full services team.

Responsibilities

Support business development activities.

Lead and support conceptual planning studies.

Support proposal development efforts.

Scope, fee, and contract development services.

Display technical competency of water or wastewater engineering and civil engineering.

Develop and manage detailed project delivery assumptions, scope of work, LOE, and associated man-hour estimates.

Manage multiple projects concurrently.

Ensure time management and work product quality.

Maintain accurate project accounting on all assigned projects.

Conduct written and oral project reporting for clients and team leaders.

Prepare and execute QA/QC plans.

Lead internal and external project workshops.

Keep learning and professional growth for team needs.

Construction management (excluding construction observation) for local projects.

Travel as needed for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties.

Attend industry conferences as subject matter expert for Garver and the Water Business Line.

Project Production

Complete detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications.

Schedule, manage, and coordinate support disciplines and subconsultants.

Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities.

Obtain permitting approval with regulatory agencies.

Manage quality assurance and risk management.

Facilitate workshops with clients.

Transition to Construction Phase

Contractor pre‑qualification and bid evaluation.

Participate in facilitated teaming activities.

Conduct technical review of submittals and RFIs.

Provide construction phase engineering support.

Schedule, manage, and coordinate support disciplines and subconsultants.

Track progress and communicate updates.

Transition to Integration Phase

Manage owner training program.

Equip, instrument, and device checkout and performance validation.

Control system and HMI integration.

Schedule, manage, and coordinate support disciplines and subconsultants.

Complete contract closeout.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.

10+ years of water and wastewater project experience and 3+ years of team leadership.

Registered Professional Engineer (PE).

Experience designing water and wastewater collection, distribution, pumping, and/or treatment projects.

Strong understanding of multi‑disciplined practices (process, surveying, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control).

Preferred Skills

Master’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.

15+ years of water and wastewater project experience with 3+ years of team leadership.

Registered PE in Georgia.

Software proficiency in water industry hydraulic or process modeling.
