Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Senior Accountant to join our expanding tax team. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients across multiple industries, including individuals, corporations, nonprofits, trusts, and estates. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review moderately complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and exempt organizations. Perform detailed tax research and assist in tax planning and projections for clients. Review financial data, adjust client books, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Assist junior staff with technical guidance, review their work, and help develop their skills. Communicate directly with clients and internal teams to resolve questions and support ongoing relationships.
Maintain strong knowledge of current tax legislation and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation (150-hour requirement). CPA license preferred or actively pursuing certification. 2-4 years of tax experience in public accounting or a similar setting. Proficiency in CCH Axcess or other tax preparation software. Strong Excel and general computer skills. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
