Assistant Director of Finance – Noble House Hotels & Resorts
We are seeking a highly experienced finance professional to join our talented team of hospitality-focused professionals. The Assistant Director of Finance will work hands‑on to oversee daily income audit, cash handling, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, inventories, and tax preparations, while supporting the Director of Finance with audit compliance and special reporting projects.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare and review all journal vouchers, month‑end reports, and reconciliations for four properties.
Review preliminary financial statements with the Director of Finance.
Participate in monthly financial reviews and assist the Director of Finance with the presentation of these reports.
Manage and direct the accounting staff of the hotel, including coaching, counseling, interviewing, training, and evaluating staff performance.
Ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting, accounting, budgeting, and cash management.
Perform systems administration, G/L reconciliations, budget preparations, inventories, monthly closings, and P&L responsibility.
Assist the Director of Finance with the year‑end audit process, review and approve reconciliations and audit work papers, and respond to auditor requests.
Help prepare all monthly and annual financial statements and investigate, review, and analyze variance explanations, taking initiative to troubleshoot cost controls and revenue enhancement.
Assist with special reporting and analysis projects.
Requirements
A finance or accounting degree.
At least five years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a hotel.
Experience supervising accounting staff.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem‑solving skills.
Proven leadership and coaching skills with a track record of developing a highly motivated, cross‑trained, and productive team.
