*This role can also be located in Pearland, TX as well as Rosenberg, TX, as we have plant facilties located in these towns that this role will support.

Summary The

Manufacturing Cost Estimator

plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by determining the time, money, and resources needed to produce goods. This role collaborates with Finance, Engineering, R&D, New Product Development (NPD), Procurement and Production teams to analyze various cost components (i.e. labor, materials, overhead, etc.), prepare accurate cost projections to support pricing, budgeting and profit margins and help with strategic decision‑making.

Responsibilities Cost Analysis & Estimation

Collaborate with various departments (i.e. Engineering, Sales, Procurement) to gather information for accurate estimates that align with strategic goals.

Review manufacturing procedures to ensure cost estimations reflect proper processes and manufacturing steps for the customer.

Identify and resolve cost‑related issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

Determine the types and quantities of materials needed for production and estimate their associated costs.

Develop detailed cost estimates utilizing models and/or databases based on blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.

Process Improvement

Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities that improve efficiency within manufacturing processes.

Develop cost models for the CapEx process for initiatives (i.e. advanced manufacturing robotics projects, etc.).

Documentation & Reporting

Track and maintain accurate records of estimated & actual costs, trends & variances.

Provide timely reports for all levels of management.

Active participation within meetings with cross‑functional teams.

Supply Chain Coordination

Partner with Supply Chain to ensure lead times and price of purchase parts are properly reflected on manufacturing cost estimations.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field or equivalent education and/or experience required.

3+ years of experience in data/cost analysis in manufacturing environment.

Strong verbal and written communication; clearly convey messages to stakeholders.

Ability to effectively collaborate.

Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus (i.e. ERP/MRP systems (i.e. Syteline, etc.), Excel, CAD integration).

Ability to lead projects.

Certification in cost estimating (e.g., AACE Certified Estimating Professional - CEP).

Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
