Job Overview A full-time Sleep Medicine faculty position is available in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Successful candidates will simultaneously teach and provide clinical care in an outpatient clinic setting alongside medical students, residents, and fellows. Faculty rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Clinical Medicine) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Opportunities exist to participate in and lead NIH‑funded research, clinical trials, and sleep‑specific quality and clinical analytics initiatives.

Essential Functions

Contribute to ambulatory and hospital‑based care.

Maintain active engagement in education and training missions.

Participate in quality improvement, safety, and clinical projects in Sleep Medicine.

Treat Sleep Medicine patients while accompanied by learners such as UC Medical Students and UC Medical Center residents and fellows.

Partner with outpatient sleep medicine advance practice providers in managing a large panel of sleep patients, including obstructive sleep apnea, sleep disordered breathing, circadian rhythm disorders, narcolepsy, and other parasomnias.

Interpret sleep studies from two busy sleep labs.

Participate in a pro‑rated amount of on‑call coverage.

Minimum Requirements

Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) or foreign equivalent.

Ohio medical license.

Completed 1‑year Sleep Medicine Fellowship.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pulmonary Medicine.

Board eligible or board certified in Sleep Medicine.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Office environment; no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
