Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Reviewing and approving medication orders with a focus on chemotherapy; advising healthcare professionals and patients on drug-related matters Overseeing chemotherapy pharmacy operations for the Cancer Care Center and related customers Identifying opportunities for cost-effective medication use; educating stakeholders; collaborating on medication management programs Documenting interventions, cost-saving efforts, and performance improvement initiatives; participating in patient safety activities What You Will Need
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy or eligible for reciprocity Completion of an Oncology Residency program or Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy Nice To Have (Not Required)
Hospital Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience 2-4 years oncology experience preferred PGY1 required and PGY2 oncology preferred Strong attention to detail and patient safety Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Where You Will Work
