Our client is a passionate nonprofit in Broward County that is looking for a

Philanthropy Director . This organization is established, but expected to grow in the coming years. They have excellent benefits and a strong purpose in serving communities. Salary/Hourly Rate: $95k - $105k Position Overview: The Philanthropy Director will lead the entire grants process from beginning to end. They will be the key point of contact for funding initiatives and relationships with donors. Responsibilities of the Philanthropy Director:

Provide a comprehensive grants administration program.

Create funding programs from scratch.

Bring in new individual and corporate donors.

Prepare compelling proposals prior to the deadline for review.

Submit timely proposals via the funder's preferred process.

Submit timely and accurate reports.

Work collaboratively with the business office to keep grant reporting current.

Represent funders to ensure grant requirements are met and exceeded with fundraising.

Manage relationships with funding agencies, cultivate and maintain communication and relationships with current and potential funding agencies to:

Keep funders apprised of the focus of new and ongoing initiatives.

Stay informed of agency funding priorities.

Establish relationships with key individuals and organizations within the local philanthropic community.

Maintain a database on all grant activity to include deadlines, actions, and open items on:

Existing/current grants.

Pending proposals submitted for funding review.

Upcoming grant opportunities.

Newly explored fundraising opportunities.

Prepare monthly activity reports, including funding requests, grants, and reporting information for fundraising.

Manage accurate proposal and agency archives (submitted proposal, contracts/notice, reports, deliverables, dates), both electronic and paper files, as needed to provide a comprehensive account of grant details.

Maintain an accurate contact list of corporate, private, and public foundations and government donors.

Stay current on national and local funding agencies’ priorities.

Foster a collaborative and consultative environment with fundraising.

Work with staff to develop content for grant applications.

Reconcile assigned grants and prepare monthly reports, including revenues and projected balances, to make recommendations and resolve issues with fundraising.

Develop and manage revenue and expense budgets related to grants

Achieve annual grant funding targets with fundraising.

Required Experience/Skills for the Philanthropy Director:

Minimum 10 years of experience in Philanthropy and Fundraising.

Experience in managing the grant process from beginning to end.

Ability to create funding programs from scratch.

Ability to bring in new individual and corporate donors.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Philanthropy Director:

Proficient with database software and database management.

Experience synthesizing complex information into clear and comprehensive summaries.

Experience working in a collaborative environment.

Flexibility, adaptability, curiosity, and integrity.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
