Job Summary The Production Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in the daily manufacturing of dietary supplement products. This position involves operating equipment, monitoring processes, and ensuring top-notch quality in compliance with cGMP guidelines. Responsibilities Support daily production operations by monitoring equipment performance and assisting with setup and changeovers to meet production targets while ensuring quality and safety standards are followed for dietary supplements. Operate and troubleshoot processing equipment; perform routine cleaning, calibration checks, adjustments, and basic preventive maintenance to ensure peak performance. Verify product quality and process parameters, documenting observations, deviations, and corrective actions according to batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Adhere to batch records, SOPs, sanitation, and line clearance procedures; ensure accurate material reconciliation and traceability for all finished products. Maintain precise production documentation, including lot codes, run times, temperatures, humidity, and changeover records. Ensure correct labeling, packaging integrity, and traceability of finished goods with accurate lot codes and expiration dates. Promote compliance with cGMP and safety protocols; maintain a clean and responsible work environment, reporting any food-safety or product-safety issues. Monitor key performance metrics (OEE, yield, scrap, downtime, changeover times) and implement improvements to optimize production throughput while upholding quality. Work collaboratively with QA, Quality Systems, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production Planning to resolve issues and enhance throughput in line with regulations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to minimize waste, reduce downtime, and optimize changeovers. Engage in safety meetings, risk assessments, and incident investigations while supporting corrective actions and preventive measures. Assist in training new technicians and operators on equipment operations, standard work practices, and quality standards. Ensure accurate inventory management for packaging materials, labels, raw materials, and finished goods. Skills/Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or associate degree in manufacturing, packaging, food science, or related field is preferred. Experience:

A minimum of 2-5 years in food packaging operations or manufacturing; supervisory or team-leading experience is a plus. Knowledge:

Comprehensive understanding of food packaging processes, labeling practices, serialization, allergen controls, and line clearance procedures. Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, SQF/ISO 22000, or other food safety standards is advantageous. Technical Skills:

Proficient in operating packaging equipment such as cartoners, case packers, and labelers; basic understanding of PLC/SCADA systems is a plus. Quality & Compliance:

Detail-oriented with the ability to decipher SOPs, batch records, allergen controls, and quality specifications. Problem Solving:

Strong root-cause analysis and troubleshooting abilities; capable of identifying food safety risks and implementing solutions. Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to coach and mentor teammates and maintain clear documentation of deviations and corrective actions. Safety:

Strong commitment to maintaining a safe workplace; knowledge of safety protocols is essential; forklift certification is often preferred. Math/Numeracy:

Proficient in basic arithmetic with comfort in performing calculations for batch yields, ingredient weights, and ingredient-to-batch conversions. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, varying temperatures, and exposure to cleaning chemicals and food ingredients. Occasional bending, kneeling, reaching, and capability to operate hand tools and light machinery. Pay: $20-$25 per hour
