Overview

Project Manager – Marine Dredging at Kokosing Kokosing Industrial’s marine division seeks marine professionals with experience in hydrographic surveying and dredging. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of marine dredging projects, provide technical expertise to estimating, participate in proposal preparation, labor and resource planning, scheduling, and manage projects from preconstruction to final approval. Candidates should expect significant time on marine vessels on waterways throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Note:

This role requires regular/extensive travel within the project geographic region (approximately 5–7 months per year). Baltimore, MD is the central reference point for the territory. Overnight travel is expected, with hotel accommodations provided and rotations as needed.

Duties And Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of marine dredging projects Ensure successful execution within budget, schedule, and job cost Develop project schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM) Create project plans that meet client requirements and timelines Forecast budgets and track expenditures Serve as primary client contact Identify improvements in systems, safety, and project reporting; implement more efficient dredging methods Assist with post-award client submittals and other deliverables Coordinate logistics with crewing, vessels, and crews Oversee procurement of project equipment and consumables Manage third-party subcontractors and rental companies with Site Administrators Manage mobilization efforts Oversee daily reporting and QC of survey, dredge plan, and production Monitor site conditions for change orders or modifications Drive cost control and budget tracking with Finance Provide technical expertise to Estimating for proposals Create cost and production estimates for bids Track project milestones and identify risks or delays Manage resources to complete the project Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies Create and improve SOPs

Supervisory Responsibilities

Lead and mentor dredge staff, providing training and coaching on administrative duties

Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent technical training and related experience 3+ years’ experience in hydrographic survey and/or dredging management Technical understanding of marine vessel construction and maintenance Strong scheduling ability and adherence to deadlines Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic Strong negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Ability to operate small marine vessels preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team Understand and interpret safety laws and company policies/standards Knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, specifications, and materials USACE CQM-C Certification RMS competency for daily client reports OSHA 30 40-Hour EM 385-1-1 Primavera P6 Certification AutoCAD, Hypack or similar survey software knowledge
