Overview Ketchum is seeking an

Account Supervisor

to join our Purpose team. Do you have experience supporting high profile clients’ storytelling and reporting around their sustainability progress? If so, this could be just the right opportunity for you.

Responsibilities We’re in need of someone strategic, creative, collaborative, and fun, but also detail-oriented. That’s right, you’ve gotta be the yin AND the yang.

Perform a wide range of duties, including project management, sustainability report copywriting, strategic planning, staff development, and financial management

Manage day-to-day account needs, serving as key liaison among client, account team and creative support

Create organizational tools to keep reporting projects on schedule, managing up to ensure work is moving

Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials, including report copy and strategic plans

Conduct research to inform strategic planning process; leverage resulting insights to inform client recommendations

Prepare technical assets, including reporting data tables and disclosures aligned to voluntary and mandatory reporting frameworks

Be client-facing, continually fostering client-agency relationships to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients

Provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address clients’ needs

Assist account team(s) in working effectively and in the best interest of client(s)

Strive to develop the best communication and presentation skills possible to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues, and others

Manage account financials, including budget allocation and control, time sheets, client billing, supplier invoicing, and purchase orders

Access the agency’s network of resources to deliver the greatest value to clients

Work with account team(s) to build incremental business

Participate in new business programming and presentations

Stay on top of trends in the industry; bring them to the attention of clients and associates, as appropriate

Qualifications Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Five plus years of agency and/or in-house public relations experience, ideally with some purpose background, whether professional or personal

Demonstrated track record in building strong client relationships and delivering programs that exceeded anticipated results

Proficiency in communicating on social, environmental, and/or governance topics on clients’ (internal/external) behalf

Broad-based exposure to all skill areas, including proposal planning, writing and presentations, media relations, and consultative selling

Familiarity with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reporting frameworks, and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and/or California reporting regulation is a plus, but not a require

Salary Range The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, past training, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity and local geographic market data. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
