We Are Inspired to Serve. Join us! The Lead Dining Services Server is accountable for providing prompt, courteous service to all residents and guests in the dining room during meal times. The Lead Dining Services Server will perform serving, cleaning, hospitality, and waiting/bussing tables. They will service the Dining Room, as well as meetings and other special events requiring dining services. They may also prepare salads and desserts as directed. In addition to standard Dining Room services, the Lead Server will also be accountable for providing training to other team members, assisting in onboarding new hires, providing general work direction, and serving as a resource for questions from other team members. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables. Serve lunch and meals to residents, guests, and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro. Bus and reset tables as needed. In addition to standard Dining Room services, the Lead Server will also be accountable for providing training to other team members, assisting in onboarding new hires, providing general work direction, and serving as a resource for questions from other team members. Prepare salad bar items for lunch. Fill salad bar with ice and set for service, including gathering plates and bowls as necessary for salad bar and soup kettles. Prepare and stage desserts. Light food prep for special events. Assist in setting up for meetings or other special events, including delivery of snacks, coffee, tea, etc. Assist in setting up for meetings, including delivery of snacks, coffee, tea, etc. Follow all sanitation guidelines, federal/state regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements. Maintain cleanliness of prep items. Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled and/or needed. Open and close dining rooms as needed. Education and Qualifications

Required Degree: High school diploma Certificate(s): Current Food Handler’s Permit is required. Training in ServSafe is beneficial. Experience

Desired is one (1) year of food service experience including serving/waiting tables, cleaning, kitchen sanitation protocols, and basic food/meal prep. Prior leadership or team lead experience is preferred. Skills and Abilities

Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written, English) with residents and staff. Must be able to relate well to peers and mentor others effectively. Must be able to read and understand written instructions and follow safety practices. Must be cordial and congenial with residents. Must be dependable, detail oriented, organized, and have good follow‑through. Must be able to work within standard policy and procedures, and work with limited direct supervision. Must have the ability to handle a variety of tasks and functions. Must be able to react calmly in emergency situations. Must have the ability to show patience and compassion to senior adults. Must be considerate of residents’ comfort, safety, security, and belongings. Demonstrate the ability to set and establish priorities. Manage time efficiently. Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Maintain a well‑groomed appearance that complies with organizational and State food code standards. Ability to adhere to dress code and kitchen uniform requirements. Demonstrate knowledge of food safety, sanitation, preparation, and serving principles. Ability to work with all persons and get along and socialize with employees, residents, families, visitors, vendors, healthcare professionals, and the community. Physical Requirements

May be required to lift or carry equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequent stooping, bending, climbing, reaching, pulling/pushing, and long periods walking and/or standing. May be required to stand, sit, twist, bend, squat, kneel, or crouch when performing job duties. Must possess adequate sight and hearing to meet the responsibilities of this position. Compensation

$14.44 – $17.35 per hour Benefits
