Specifically, Lumen Creative is a full-service marketing agency supporting Golbon and its network of independent food distributors. We focus on delivering strategic, high-quality creative and digital solutions through a collaborative approach that drives growth, strengthens brands, and delivers results.
POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of the WordPress Web Developer / UI Designer is to meet or surpass clients' expectations with their company website needs. This position handles most web design and development projects, from defining project scope to creating sitemaps and frameworks, visual elements, and testing, all within budget and deadlines for both internal and external customers. The WordPress Web Developer / UI Designer will be involved in the growth and profitability of Lumen Creative through sales and marketing initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage client accounts and serve as the primary point of contact-overseeing communication, proposals, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and within budget. Build strong client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and provide ongoing support. Design and test low- and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to validate usability and communicate ideas across teams. Develop and maintain responsive WordPress websites using Elementor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Optimize site performance through responsive design, SEO best practices, and file optimization. Test for cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility to ensure consistent user experiences. Manage WordPress environments, including plugin/theme updates, version control, and staging. Track and analyze site performance using tools like Google Analytics, SearchAtlas, SEMRush, etc. Collaborate with designers, developers, and marketing teams to deliver creative, functional web solutions. Clearly communicate design decisions, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Stay current on emerging web design trends, tools, and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS:
WordPress experience: 3+ years (Required) Figma prototyping: 3+ years (Preferred) Front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP): 3+ years (Preferred) Experience with responsive design and SEO best practices Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Preferred) Familiarity with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, etc.) Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, and a fast-paced environment Some overnight travel required (10-15%)
