We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Product Safety Specialist I
to support our Safety and Clinical Research team in the development of
personal care products
for a leading beauty and fashion company. This role plays a critical part in ensuring clinical safety and efficacy testing for personal care product launches, specifically within beauty categories. You will be responsible for executing components of the clinical testing lifecycle—from sample handling and test scheduling to results documentation and cross-functional communication. Key Responsibilities: Support end-to-end execution of clinical safety and efficacy testing programs Coordinate receiving and shipping of samples from manufacturers to third-party labs Schedule product testing and monitor sample delivery timelines Assist with study design and lab protocol planning Summarize testing results and ensure documentation accuracy for product approvals Support development of Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR), fragrance reviews, and bridging documentation Maintain project trackers and documentation systems Participate in product commercialization meetings and team updates Qualifications: 1–3 years of experience in the personal care, cosmetics, or related industry Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong documentation skills Excellent organizational and communication abilities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Meticulous attention to detail Must be available to work onsite and begin training in early to mid-July Preferred Experience: Previous exposure to the personal care or cosmetics industry Familiarity with clinical research processes or product safety testing Seniority level
