Overview
Engagement Specialist, Mobile Crisis Response These full-time positions provide recovery support services - providing peer support, advocacy, and assisting individuals in accessing services. Heritage Behavioral Health Center staff respond to individuals seeking help with depression, anxiety, substance use, and/or other distressing symptoms, by providing a supportive response and linkage to ongoing supportive services. The program will provide support to anyone, anywhere, and at any time. Positions are currently available: 3rd shift - 11 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. Core Responsibilities Include : Face-to-face, telephone, and virtual sessions to provide peer support Able to serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovery Able to communicate with individuals, friends/family, and referral sources Participates in team response to individuals experiencing a mental health and/or substance use crisis to offer recovery support services Assertive outreach and engagement to assist individuals in accessing treatment services Assists individuals with navigating community resources In partnership with the individual, case management services to ensure referral and linkage to services that will support the individual's overall health and wellness Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and community providers Collaborate with multiple internal and external providers to coordinate treatment including crisis care team members, support team members, case management, counselors, psychiatric providers, and clinical leaders Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Ability to engage individuals in behavioral health treatment Ability to provide flexible services as they present and/or scheduled - each day will look different Knowledge of community resources including psychiatric, substance use, medical, and/or other community services Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to work as a team player Strong customer service skills with everyone encountered Ability to navigate electronic health record Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Initiative for ongoing self-development (skills, learning, and growing) Education and Experience : Eligible candidates will self-identify as having lived experience with a mental health diagnosis. Ideal candidates will have an interest and desire to assist individuals in recovery as well as utilize their lived experiences that may have impacted their own personal journey to recovery. High school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as a minimum 21 years of age. Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) is required within 12 months of employment. Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance are required at the time of hire. Salary Range : $37,440-$45,760 per year ($18.00 to $22.00 per hour) dependent on education and experience Heritage also offers the following with this position: Generous vacation, sick and personal leave WELLNESS days - 26 days per year (every other Friday off paid) Paid holidays - 9 in 2025 Health Club/Fitness Reimbursement Employee Assistance Program Continuing education opportunities Tuition assistance program Agency provided life insurance and short-term disability policies Retirement plans (401k and Roth) Optional insurance benefits, including health, dental, vision, flex spending accounts (healthcare, dependent care), and additional life insurance.
