Job Description

The senior supplier equality engineer is a part of the Filtration and Separation Quality team, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the highest levels of product quality. This individual is accountable for ensuring suppliers meet and exceed requirements for Quality and delivery performance. Responsible for establishing and monitoring performance metrics and supports procurement in supplier development, selection and qualification. Develops procedures and processes for the larger organization in compliance with ISO, FDA and other external requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead supplier evaluations (desk/remote/on-site) to applicable standards and requirements

Act as a liaison for suppliers, collaborating on quality and process improvements with suppliers and global teams.

Manage and consistently review supplier quality procedures and processes in compliance with external and internal requirements, ISO9001, ISO13485, GMP, others.

Collaborate with global teams to define actions and priorities for supplier related quality issues

Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances

Monitor and routinely report on supplier quality performance metrics

Develop supplier relationships and actively participate in strategic supplier development

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferably in an Engineering or Science field

Advanced degree preferred

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Quality, Supplier Management or Engineering

Solid experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language

Knowledge of quality control regulatory standards

Strong knowledge of six sigma tools such as 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, Value Stream Map and Pareto Analysis

Knowledge of statistical tools such as SPC, statistical sampling, DOE

Strong presentations skills

Working Conditions / Travel Requirements:

Hybrid role based in locations listed

Visits to factories wearing PPE, including cleanroom PPE

Travel required to complete supplier audits (domestic/international)

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Minnesota is $75,800.00-$113,675.00.
