Senior Accountant
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated
Senior Accountant
to support the financial operations of North American holding entities. This role is responsible for monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and group-level compliance reporting. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical accounting knowledge, a background in public accounting (Big 4 preferred), and experience in public company reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage month-end close and financial reporting for North American holding companies in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies. Consolidate financial data from subsidiaries, joint ventures, and affiliates to support accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Assist with budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Review and validate financial reporting packages before submission to group-level finance. Support group reporting requirements including SEC filings, internal audit updates, and SOX compliance documentation. Assist with treasury functions, legal and tax reporting, expense management, and financial statement preparation. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned. Qualifications
CPA or Chartered Accountant certification required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. 1-2 years of post-CPA experience in financial reporting. Background in public accounting; Big 4 experience strongly preferred. Public company reporting experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with SOX compliance. Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar consolidation tools is an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and financial systems. Key Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, changing environment. Spanish language skills a plus.
