The City of Inver Grove Heights seeks a knowledgeable HR professional to lead and manage its human resources division. Position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a broad knowledge of public sector employment laws and practices, plus the ability to successfully manage multiple-projects and priorities. Position is responsible for city-wide HR programs, policies and services; including labor relations, recruitment and retention, compensation/classification, benefits and leave administration.
The HR Manager provides consultation to department and division leaders, the City Administrator and City Council, and leadership in establishing a strategic vision for the City. Position is open until filled; first review of applications will be 11/3/25.
Requires: Bachelor's degree in human resources or closely related field and at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in HR/employee relation programs; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and at least two years' experience in public sector (union Environment) HR management.
