Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. is one of the largest human services providers in California. The agency operates a variety of programs to serve the poor and strives to find permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources they need to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives.
The program manager will work with Catholic Charities San Gabriel Region Associate Program Director to manage long term recovery services for the Eaton Fire Wildfire survivors. The program manager will support individuals and communities affected by Eaton Fire by providing trauma-informed outreach, case navigation, and community recovery coordination. This position plays a critical role in addressing emotional trauma, resource disparities, and recovery challenges faced by survivors, especially those in underserved and historically marginalized communities.
Responsibilities:
Delivers crisis intervention and emotional support.
Delivers psychological first aid (PFA) to survivors.
Provides resources to help survivors normalize stress and obtain coping strategies
Train staff and volunteers in trauma-informed care.
Serves as community liaison - maps service and maintains cooperative relationships with other agencies and community groups.
Resolves service gaps and liaises with recovery groups.
Conduct wellness events and disseminate recovery information through parishes and food banks.
Assures adherence to policy and maintenance of quality services.
Develop and implements ongoing public relations to promote programs.
Supervises, assigns, instructs, trains, and evaluates assigned personnel.
Prepares budget and monitors and approves expenditures.
Prepares required reports, proposals, requisitions, and correspondence.
Maintains all necessary records including all data and narrative reports.
Attends or conducts various meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Two to four years in disaster recovery and case management.
Training of psychological first aid .
Familiarity with FEMA and California disaster systems.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) .
Trauma-informed communication and cultural competence.
Proficiency with recovery plans and documentation.
Communities social resources and government agencies.
Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation.
Budget preparation and management.
