Part‑Time Night Auditor
– Highgate Hotels, Key West, FL Hourly position with a 30‑year track record of hotel innovation. Highgate is a leading real estate investment and hospitality management company with a global portfolio of more than 400 hotels. Overview
The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, compiling management reports, ensuring accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions, communicating concerns to management, and performing guest service agent duties as required. Responsibilities
Work with and understand financial information and data, performing basic arithmetic. Cross‑train in other accounting or hotel‑related areas. Prioritize job functions to meet deadlines. Serve as Guest Services Agent – check‑in, check‑out, reservations. Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports. Prepare and distribute daily reports (Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports). Prepare and distribute monthly reports. Audit and reconcile all Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashier work. Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit card activity. Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported. Input and update financial information into the corporate communications network. Perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing functions. Notify management of unusual operational or financial events or policy deviations. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Respond to governmental inquiries when received. Handle guest requests. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field. Guest Service Experience preferred. Computer knowledge and skills required. Flexible and willing to work long hours during late/overnight shift. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and perform other light physical tasks. Maintain a warm, friendly, courteous demeanor at all times. Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of employees and guests. Strong listening and problem‑solving skills. Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Attend all required hotel meetings and training sessions. Maintain regular attendance and comply with scheduling requirements. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag. Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to support safe and efficient operations. Proactively identify and solve problems and implement solutions. Handle confidential information with integrity. Show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs.
